My name is Peter Morter, born 5th April 1945; son of George & Bridget Morter from Welwyn Garden City Herts, England. I have traced my "Morter Family Line" back to around 1700, with adequate evidence. Before this, is the problem! We either continue to be English, which is more likely; or do we come from France, which is more interesting?
